Region
The Vinho Regional Lisboa (previously known as Estremadura) extends north and west of Lisbon, following the rugged Atlantic coastline. It is Portugal`s third largest wine producing region in volume terms, but arguably the source of the country`s best value table wines. Most of the region enjoys a maritime climate that allows production of fresh whites and balanced red wines. The last ten years have seen a surge of ambitious small growers making far more interesting wines across a wide selection of grape varietals.

Tasting Note
This interesting blend is a delicious example of the fantastic value wines of Lisboa. The grapes saw good canopy management to get a balanced ripeness in the hot sun and were then harvested a couple of weeks earlier than usual which brings the potential ABV down to 11%. Classic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks and the wine stays in the steel in the following months to preserve this intense fruit profile. Ripe berry fruit flavours on the nose pleasantly leads through to a smooth, fruity palate.
