Description

Ripe blackberries and blackcurrant on the nose, with complexity from 12 months of oak ageing, adding notes of smoke, tobacco and vanilla. The palate is concentrated with added hints of earth, leather and spice. Château Noaillac is producing succulent, lovely, early-drinking, claret.

A rising star. Damien, Marc Pages’s grandson, took over the running of this property some years ago. Around 40 years ago, the family discovered that the soil in this northerly part of the Médoc had once produced excellent wines but the land had been abandoned.

Now planted with 49 hectares and a new chai - with rows of temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and an immaculate barrel cellar
