Description

Mâcon-Fuissé is notable for its bright yellow-gold hue with green highlights. The nose is very intense with aromas reminiscent of pepper, yellow flowers and mirabelles. The palate shows pronounced ripe fruit flavours, before giving way to a smooth mid-palate with hints of pineapple and plum. This wine should be served at between 10-12°C and will keep for 2 to 5 years. It makes a perfect aperitif wine, but also pairs nicely with shellfish, antipasti, cold meats, fish and goat’s cheeses.

Château Vitallis is a Burgundy wine estate tucked away at the foot of the Rock of Solutré. For six generations, the Dutron family has been using considered viticultural practices to craft fine and elegant wines. They have used passion and precision to make wines from the Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru, Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Fuissé and Mâcon-Vinzelles AOPs.

At the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé plots, the vines for Mâcon-Fuissé wine make the most of their terroir and clay-limestone soils. This is an ideal soil composition which allows these 25-year-old Chardonnay vines to produce a unique, elegant and distinctively Mâconnais wine.

True to form, this 2020 vintage Mâcon-Fuissé is characterised by freshness, finesse and precision.

To preserve this typicity, the wine is vinified using traditional methods for only 6 months, on its fine lies and in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.
