Description

Aromas of lilac and blackberry on the nose and hints of earth giving complexity, typical of Petit Verdot. The ageing in oak provides light notes of cigar box and well integrated vanilla flavours. This wine has great structure with a fine and elegant tannins, with a rich and rounded mouthfeel that lingers on the palate.

In 1998, after more than a century in Rioja, Familia Martínez Bujanda decided to embark on an additional project, and bought the large Finca Antigua estate in La Mancha, where they built a stunning avant-garde winery. At the very high altitude of 900 metres, and with plenty of limestone in the soil, the wines have far more finesse than others from this large appellation.
