Deep red in colour with violet tints. The first aromas on the nose are of red and black fruits (blackcurrant and blackberry). The attack is round and voluminous followed by a surprisingly fresh and intense mid palate with fruity aromas on velvety tannins. A smooth, fruity Pinot Noir with red cherry flavours, and a sweet, ripe fruit finish. A portion of the wine is matured in French oak barrels which adds a roundness and a hint of spice to the finished wine. A really lovely accompaniment to a roast chicken.
