1276 Chardonnay
Tasting Note
A balanced and complex barrel-aged Chardonnay. Fermented and matured for 8 months in 3-year-old French oak barriques with well-integrated, harmonious layers of fruit, spice and minerality. Representing the best Chardonnay from our vineyards in Herefordshire, this wine is drinking perfectly now in it's youth with potential for further ageing.
Food matching: It pairs perfectly and enhances the delicate flavours of shellfish, also with poultry, especially when it is prepared with cream-based sauces or herbs.
Producer
The Evolution Winery is home to a small team who are united by passion and commitment. Led by the expertise of Head Winemaker Laurence Cocking and the precision of Vineyard Manager Scott Patterson, we share one unwavering goal: to produce the very best of British wines, both still and sparkling.
At The Evolution Winery, the land is more than soil, it's the soul of their craft. Nestled in Herefordshire's rolling hills, our 25-acre vineyard is a testament to their commitment to sustainability and excellence.
The land doesn't just grow grapes; it nurtures a vision where every vine tells a story of responsibility, community, and passion for the planet.
Embracing the Triple Bottom Line philosophy of People, Planet, and Profit, and as proud members of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain, we continually seek innovative ways to minimise our impact, from eco-conscious packaging to energy-efficient winery designs.
