Tasting Note

While maturation has taken place across the Caribbean where notes and nuances are first developed – it is the microclimate of Barranquilla that lends its heat and humidity to the ageing process, producing the character and softness of the rum.

The result is a limited production rum rooted in the traditions of Hispanic rum making. Molasses fermentation, column distillation, aged in white oak bourbon for many years in a unique microclimate. The final product, Idle Assembly Rum, is dry, oaky, smooth, and characterful, with no added sugar or colouring, gently rounding on the palate, appealing to connoisseurs and first-time rum drinkers alike.

Producer

A skilled blend of rums aged in ex-bourbon white oak barrels for between five and twenty years, Idle Assembly is a luxury product crafted by a third generation family of premium rum blenders in Colombia, with rums from Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Panama.
