Larry Cherubino Wines was only established in 2005, but have already achieved significant success not least with Larry Cherubino Hen and Chicken Chardonnay

Named ''Winery of the Year 2011'' in James Halliday''s Wine Companion and ''Producer of the Year'' by wine writer Matt Skinner in the same year.

James Halliday’s 2013 Australian Wine Companion credits Larry Cherubino Wines with more 94+ point wines than any other winery in Australia.

Raised in the Swan Valley of New South Wales, Larry was studying for an agriculture degree when he worked a vintage as cellar hand at the valley’s iconic Houghton, Australia’s third oldest winery.

He enjoyed working there so much so that he deferred his degree and spent the next few years working vintages in Europe and back at Houghton. (www.larrycherubino.com.au)

After passing his degree he went on to study oenology at Adelaide’s famed Roseworthy College.

Named ‘Winery of the Year’ in James Halliday’s 2011 Wine Companion, Larry Cherubino wants his wines to be distinctive and to speak clearly of their variety and vineyard site.

He believes in spending time in the vineyard, in paying attention to canopy and water management, and most importantly, picking at the right time with minimal interference in the winery.

From delicate whites to big reds his wines have class and finesse.

The 2014 warm summer cooled off in April, allowing fruit to ripen at a leisurely pace. The Pemberton wine
region had an outstanding above average rainfall through the Winter and Spring months. Spring's exceptional conditions allowed the gentle warming and for fruit set. Continuing on with dry and warm days through to April provided excellent quality with incredibly fresh and vibrant wine from the region.

A combination of winemaking techniques were employed, including whole bunch pressing and natural fermentation.
