Tasting Note
Fine cedar notes on the nose, fresh forest floor, small red berries and white smoke. Voluminous, spicy and juicy on the palate and firm in body, perfect in structure, the tannins still young but very elegant. This all points to optimal further development in the bottle. Spineda is already one of the undisputed best Merlots in northern Italy.
Spineda reveals itself discreetly on the nose and then allows itself to be discovered on the first sip with tension and power that are never brash, as great wines can do!

SPINEDA is an extraordinary selection of Merlot, made in honor of the Treviso family that since the 1500s has been enhancing the Venegazzù area, where the first Merlot to be grown in Italy was planted.
A 2-hectare plot (replanted in the year 2004), which thanks to its soils and location, with careful tillage and extremely low yields (1kg per plant), actually succeeds in giving a fruit of extraordinary elegance.
The label is a reminder of the deep connection with our territory, bearing an excerpt from a 19th-century Napoleonic mapping of the Spineda lands, with the vineyards and rustic outbuildings that are now an integral part and heart of our winery.
