The cooler climate Casablanca is great for Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while the warmer Maipo Valley offers classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère. Indomita produce superb, expressive wines that are both beautiful and stunning value for money. The Nostros Reserva and Gran Reserva ranges prove that Chile can offer the very best value and does produce wines with great varietal and regional definition.
Viña Indomita benefits from having the best climates for both whites and reds. Whites such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay thrive in the cool climate of the Casablanca Valley, the result of the Pacific's icy Humboldt current and early morning fog.
Reds such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère flourish in the sandy, fast draining soils of the MaipoValley.
Grown in Chile's Casablanca Valley, the climate in this valley can be described as cool Mediterranean. Its closeness to the ocean tempers its climate and winters tend to be mild. The vineyards are planted on the flatter plains and on the gentle slopes of the Casablanca valley. Generally, the soil is of relatively poor quality with low fertility, and therefore good for growing wine grapes.
What makes Indomita stand out is the way they strive to achieve excellence with some of the best winemakers in Chile and an incredible state of the art winery in Casablanca. This wine is made from Casablanca fruit which was fermented in tank at a cool temperature to retain those beautiful aromatics. Oak Treatment: 3 months French oak.
Nostros Reserva Pinot Noir is a soft, light red wine with mature red fruit, cherries, violet flowers and extremely delicate smoky nuances. Subtle, elegant and refined, its light tannins allow the fruit to dominate and its refreshing, persistent, delicate flavours to shine. Delicious on its own and also ideal for terrines and pâtés, serrano ham, duck, rabbit, and salads.
