OEdoria Diamant Cremant de Bourgogne Diamant NV
A blanc de blancs crémant, harvested from a group of small parcels with silica and clay and chalk and clay soils. In the glass you will discover its extremely fine bubbles, and a fresh, aromatic quality on the nose with lemony notes that will awaken your taste buds. Perfect as an aperitif.
On the nose, it releases elegant floral scents (acacia, hawthorn) with fruity and brioche notes. On the palate, it displays a nice freshness and finesse without missing roundness. A pure, balanced and elegant chardonnay.
The successor to a rich cooperative history that began back in 1929, Oedoria has steadily developed the business and paved the way for its future while building on the traditional know-how of its cooperative members and the extraordinary diversity of its terroirs.
It is made up of 300 active cooperative winegrowers farming more than 1000 hectares of vines spread all over the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées area.
On the gently sloping hills blessed with remarkable sun exposure, Gamay, Chardonnay and Pinot noir express their richly diverse aromas that result in such fabulous blends.
In 2018, production totalled nearly 60,000 hectolitres and sales were split between bottles (25%) and bulk (75%) in France and overseas.
Oedoria employs 20 permanent staff who work in total synergy with the cooperative members.
Its Board of Directors is composed of 23 members, elected by the general assembly of producers. The cooperative system takes care to offer each elected member absolute equity, regardless of the size of their vineyard. Each member can voice their opinion and vote equally following the ‘one person, one vote’ rule.
The office is composed of five administrators plus the finance and administration director, the production director and the sales director. Guiding Oedoria on its path since its inception, the directors work in close partnership to meet the targets set.
