More Information

The Living Wine Case (6 bottles)

A six-bottle mixed wine case featuring organic, biodynamic and natural wines from thoughtful, low-intervention producers.

The Living Wine Case has been created to accompany our guide to organic, biodynamic and natural wine, bringing together six bottles that show how thoughtful farming and careful winemaking can translate into real pleasure in the glass.

Inside the case you’ll find two organic wines, two biodynamic wines and two natural wines, chosen to offer a clear, enjoyable introduction to three of the most important movements in modern wine. This is not a box of worthy-but-difficult bottles. It is a mixed case designed for curious wine drinkers who want wines with character, freshness, energy and a stronger connection to the land they come from.

From crisp organic white wine to expressive biodynamic bottles, skin-contact orange wine and vibrant natural red, The Living Wine Case is a simple way to explore more conscious drinking without needing to decode every certification logo on the label.

What’s inside The Living Wine Case?

2 Organic wines:

Sitrama Verdejo Eco Metallum
A bright, fresh and expressive organic Verdejo from Spain, offering citrus, orchard fruit and a clean, lively finish. A great example of how organic white wine can be crisp, modern and highly drinkable.

Menicucci Ginesia Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
A generous organic Italian red wine with soft dark fruit, gentle spice and classic Montepulciano warmth. Easy to enjoy with pasta, grilled vegetables, roast meats or a relaxed midweek supper.

2 Biodynamic wines:

Gran Cerdo Blanco
A biodynamic Spanish white wine with freshness, texture and plenty of personality. Honest, lively and unfussy, it is a brilliant bottle for anyone interested in biodynamic wine that still feels approachable and fun.

Famille de Boel “Le Gras C’est La Vie”
A characterful biodynamic red from the south of France, full of ripe fruit, savoury depth and Mediterranean generosity. A wine that shows how biodynamic farming can produce reds with both energy and soul.

2 Natural wines:

20000 Leguas Skin Contact Orange Wine
A natural orange wine with texture, aromatic lift and gentle grip from skin contact. Ideal for anyone curious about natural wine, orange wine and low-intervention styles, without going too far into the wild side.

Fabrizio Vella Rosso Organico
A vibrant Sicilian natural red made with an organic, low-intervention approach. Juicy, fresh and expressive, it is the kind of natural red wine that works beautifully with casual food and good company.

Organic, biodynamic and natural wine in one mixed case

Organic wine, biodynamic wine and natural wine are often mentioned together, but they are not exactly the same thing.

Organic wine focuses on certified farming and production rules, with fewer synthetic inputs in the vineyard and restrictions on certain winery practices.

Biodynamic wine starts with organic farming, then goes further, treating the vineyard as a living ecosystem and placing soil health, biodiversity and natural balance at the centre of the process.

Natural wine is more about low-intervention winemaking, usually from organically or biodynamically farmed grapes, with spontaneous fermentation, minimal additives and a lighter touch in the cellar.

The Living Wine Case gives you a chance to taste all three approaches side by side. It is a practical, delicious way to understand the differences, without turning your dinner table into a seminar. Unless you enjoy seminars at dinner, in which case we fully support you.

Why choose The Living Wine Case?

This mixed case is ideal if you are looking for:

- organic wine and biodynamic wine in one selection;
- a natural wine mixed case that remains accessible and enjoyable;
- a six-bottle wine case with whites, reds and orange wine;
- a thoughtful gift for a curious wine lover;
- a way to explore sustainable and low-intervention wines;
- interesting bottles from independent producers;
- wines with freshness, character and a sense of place.

The case has been put together by the Hay Wines team to offer variety, balance and drinkability. It includes wines for different moments, from aperitif-style whites and food-friendly reds to a textured orange wine for something a little different.

Food pairing ideas

The Living Wine Case is versatile enough for a wide range of food.

The organic Verdejo and Gran Cerdo Blanco are excellent with seafood, salads, tapas, goats’ cheese, grilled vegetables and lighter dishes.

The Menicucci Montepulciano and Famille de Boel red are better suited to pasta, tomato-based dishes, roast vegetables, charcuterie, grilled meats and rustic Mediterranean cooking.

The 20000 Leguas Skin Contact Orange Wine works particularly well with spiced dishes, mezze, roasted squash, hard cheeses, mushrooms and anything with a little texture or aromatic complexity.

Fabrizio Vella Rosso Organico is a lovely match for pizza, aubergine parmigiana, tomato pasta, cured meats, barbecue dishes and relaxed sharing plates.

A mixed case for conscious wine drinkers

The Living Wine Case is for anyone who wants to drink a little more consciously, without giving up pleasure, flavour or personality.

These wines have been chosen because they show the appeal of organic, biodynamic and natural wine in a clear and enjoyable way. They are not here to lecture you. They are here to be opened, shared and enjoyed.

If you are curious about sustainable wine, organic wine, biodynamic producers, natural wine, low-intervention winemaking or simply bottles with a bit more life in them, this six-bottle mixed case is a very good place to start.

Six bottles. Three approaches. One delicious introduction to living wine.
