The fruit for this wine comes from our Marlborough vineyards located in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys of the Marlborough district.

The fruit was pressed off skins soon after harvest in Marlborough, with the juice then being transported to Katikati for fermentation. Select yeasts are used, which combined contribute to the aromatic complexity of the wine.

The unique terroir of the Marlborough region features a variety of soil compositions. These vary from alluvial free-draining, to a more clay/ loam soil as found in the Southern Hills or a silt/loam combination as located nearer to Cloudy Bay and the sea.

Marlborough is not just home to our fine Sauvignon Blanc, but also grows delightful Pinot Noir. It is a truly superb location, and one to be popped on the ‘must-visit’ list, especially if you are one that enjoys the ‘wine experience’.
