The 2023 Guidalberto is another terrific wine from Tenuta San Guido in this vintage. Aromatic, medium in body and gracious, the 2023 is pure charm. Crushed flowers, bright red-toned fruit, spice and blood orange all pulse through a vibrant, refreshing Guidalberto that will drink well on release. The more refined side of Bolgheri is very much on display. This is a fine effort in a year marked by heavy rains and elevated disease pressure. What a delight. - Antonio Galloni, 92 Points, Vinous

Quietly, elegantly, and almost unintentionally, the Incisa della Rocchetta family released the wine that would revolutionise the Italian wine scene, creating an entirely new category: the Super-Tuscan.
Tenuta San Guido is now a legendary estate, first planted in the 1940s by Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, who recognised the similarity between Bolgheri’s terroir and that of the Graves. When Sassicaia was finally released commercially in 1968, it took the world of fine wine by storm. Cementing its iconic status, it was granted its own appellation - Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC - in 1994.
