The Dinner Party Case
The Dinner Party Case is a six-bottle mixed selection designed for effortless hosting, the kind of line-up that lets you relax and enjoy your own table, knowing the next bottle will always make sense.
Rather than focusing on a single style, this case is about flow and balance. Each wine has been chosen to follow the natural rhythm of a meal: a lively start to welcome guests, crisp aromatic whites for aperitifs and early courses, elegant reds for the heart of the evening, and a sweet Tokaji to finish... whether that’s dessert, cheese, or simply a last glass once the plates are cleared!
The wines included (and how to enjoy & serve them)
Organic Sparkling Wine Millebolle Brut
Lively, fresh and bright; a brilliant “first pour” while everyone arrives.
Try with: salty nibbles, olives, crisps, tempura veg, prawns, or anything you’d normally put on a welcoming board.
Serve: well chilled. Open it first and you instantly set the tone.
Bouza do Rei Albariño, Rías Baixas
Crisp and aromatic with a sea-breeze feel; the ultimate crowd-pleasing white at the table.
Try with: seafood starters, sushi, scallops, grilled fish, or simple pasta with lemon and herbs.
Serve: nicely chilled; it’s at its best when bright and snappy.
Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection Chenin Blanc
Textured and food-friendly, with enough weight for richer dishes while staying fresh.
Try with: roast chicken, creamy sauces, risotto, pork, or spiced veg dishes where you still want lift and balance.
Serve: cool rather than ice-cold, give it 10 minutes out of the fridge and it opens up beautifully.
Château des Antonin Bordeaux Supérieur
A textbook, everyday claret: supple, dark-fruited and gently savoury, with that classic Bordeaux feel (cedar, blackcurrant, plum). A 50/50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, it’s made to be versatile at the table.
Try with: roast beef, lamb chops, steak frites, sausage and lentils, or a simple midweek pasta ragù.
Serve: not too warm, 15–20 minutes in the fridge before pouring makes it feel fresher and more “dinner party” than “after-dinner”.
Trastullo Primitivo
Richer and more warming, with dark fruit and a generous, comforting feel; ideal when the evening turns cosy.
Try with: slow-cooked ragù, lamb, barbecue flavours, aubergine parmigiana, or hard cheeses once the main course is done.
Serve: at “dinner table” temperature rather than too warm; a short splash in a decanter (or a wide glass) helps it settle in.
Bodvin Tokaj Sweet Cuvée (50cl)
Bright, honeyed sweetness with a citrusy lift, the perfect “final note” for the table.
Try with: fruit tarts, panna cotta, crème brûlée, blue cheese, or just a small glass to finish the night.
Serve: chilled in small pours, it’s a closer, not a main act.
What you’ll find inside is not just a collection of bottles, but a carefully considered sequence, designed to make hosting feel easy and the evening feel beautifully paced.
Six bottles. One perfectly paced dinner party.
