Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Finish
Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Finish has a delightful ruby colour to this whisky with vanilla, light chocolate flavours, a creamy richness and hints of red summer fruit
For about 12 months, Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Finish has been finished off in Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet Red Burgundy Casks, which are 228 litres in size.
Tullibardine is one of the youngest Scottish distilleries; it was founded in 1949 by the architect William Delmé-Evans and C. I. Barrett.
It is situated in Perthshire and is actually on of the easiest distilleries to visit being further south.
The Tullibardine distillery (which was mothballed in 1994 or '95) is purchased by a group of businessmen with experience in the whisky industry, including Michael Beamish and Doug Ross.

Set in the beautiful Perthshire countryside at the gateway to the Highlands, we believe our Distillery is a real gem as it continues to operate in the traditional way, without modern day computer technology, giving visitors a real insight to the whisky distillation process.

In 1953 the distillery was sold to Brodie Hepburn, who were themselves later sold to Invergordon Distillers. For the next few decades production continued using the original two stills and maturing the spirit in sherry casks. In 1973 the capacity was increased with the addition of two more stills.
Recently Tullibardine began a new chapter in its history as in November 2011 the distillery was purchased by an independent family company already involved in the Whisky Industry. There is no doubt that the future of Tullibardine is in safe hands. With a wide portfolio of stock ranging back as far as 1952, Tullibardine is a lovely sweet, elegant and complex malt whisky.
