Voche Rioja Blanco
The colour is a lovely lemon yellow, clean and bright. Voche Rioja Blanco has a very expressive aroma with citrus (lemon, grapefruit), spices and vanilla scent. On the palate, the wine is fresh and well balanced with a compensated acidity and a long aftertaste reminiscent of citrus.
"Near our vineyards is the ancient Roman winery of Funes, the biggest industry of this kind in Rioja and Navarra in the Roman times. Back then, wine was key in the diet of the Roman colonies in Hispania. Furthermore, the quality of the wines from this region was much appreciated in Rome and the exports of wine used the wide river Ebro (Íber) to reach the Mediterranean.
The original remains of clay vessels or ‘dolium’ found in the Roman winery of Funes had inspired the rounded forms and the solid profile of our Voché bottle, honouring those famous quality vineyards rooted within the origins of wine in Spain." - Voche
