Zuccardi Valles Bonarda
Zuccardi Valles Bonarda has a delicious bouquet of fresh dark cherries, crème de cassis and exuberant blackberry fruit notes. The palate is soft and juicy.
A prestige Cuvee from Familia Zuccardi and a clear warning to other countries that Argentina is serious about making quality wine.
Producer
Alberto Zuccardi founded the winery in 1963, challenging the traditional focus on the domestic market with his pioneering spirit.
He sought to introduce Argentinean wine to the world stage and it is this spirit that still drives the search today for the highest quality from the unique terroir of Mendoza.
Familia Zuccardi combines forward thinking with a deeply rooted wine culture to craft wines of unique quality and identity.
At the heart of this family winery is the drive to continually improve and with Sebastian Zuccardi heading up their ‘Innovation and Experimentation’ program, they are literally taking quality to new heights.
After many months of building and many years of planning the breath taking new winery, in Altamira in the Uco Valley, is all but complete.
At 1100 metres above sea level with the Andes as it’s stunning backdrop, a new chapter in the history of Familia Zuccardi is beginning.
This is one of the most exciting producers to work with. Their understanding of the soils and terroirs of the Uco Valley is reflected in their beautifully expressive wines.
At Familia Zuccardi it is clearly understood that quality starts in the vineyards.
Through extensive research and the use of technology such as electromagnetic mapping of soil, they are reaching ever greater understandings of the “terroir” and how to match soils with the most appropriate grape variety.
Every aspect of viticulture at Zuccardi, from irrigation techniques, trellising and training, pruning and harvesting is constantly reviewed and improved upon whilst always remains true to their principles of sustainability.
