Bodegas Oran La Cochinita
Tasting Note
Tempranillo red wine, aged for five months in French and American oak barrels. Fruity, soft, elegant and spicy. Recommended for BBQ, with all kinds of meats, sausages and cheeses.
In 1860 a cochinita starred in an extraordinary event in the Lands of the Raposo Valley in Extremadura. It was a piglet that suffered from an inflammation in its legs and that they found covered in a pond. They thought she was dead, but to everyone's surprise, she woke up full of energy and without symptoms of illness. The news spread quickly. Many people came to try the healing muds. The place soon became famous and today our vineyards are located in this valley.
Producer
At Bodegas Orán we seek to make fun and easy-to-drink wines that are suitable for any time and place. They are wines made with the honesty and humility that our ancestors taught us.
Our goal is that everyone who chooses one of our wines remembers it as unique, trying not to disappoint anyone. For this, the most important thing for us is our vineyards.
The harvest is carried out in the month of October, harvesting the grapes well ripe and in a perfect state of health. That is why we have opted for native varieties perfectly acclimatized to our area. The altitude of 600 meters of the estates and their clay soils allows us to produce unique wines. This uniqueness is manifested in their freshness and in being fruity wines, in which ageing is embraced with varietal aromas to give delicate, elegant wines and, where appropriate, with ageing capacity.
We are perfectionists and we think that the best wine is always yet to be made. This forces us year after year to make an effort and to take each harvest as a challenge.
