Pulenta Estate Malbec
Pulenta Estate Malbec has a very bright and intense violet colour. Its aroma expresses red fruits like strawberries and cherries, balanced with the spicy notes of the oak. On the palate, it is round, with soft tannins and delicate mineral notes proving to be a wine of great character and remarkable structure.
VINIFICATION
. Manual harvest and selection of bunches and grapes in the winery.
. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, concrete pools and
French oak barrels.
. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
. Oak aging for 12 months in French oak, 50%
. Alcohol: 14,5%
. Total acidity: 5,95 g/l (tartaric acidity).
. Ph: 3,73.
. Sugar: < 1,80 g/l
. Bottled: June 2018.
. Production: 6.000 case
VINEYARD
. Location: Grapes from “La Zulema” vineyard in Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo
and “Viñedos de Don Antonio”, Valle de Uco, Tunuyan, Mendoza.
. Altitude: 3215 ft in Agrelo and 3940 ft in Uco Valley
. Composition: 100% Malbec
. Vine age: planted in 1992 (agrelo) and 1981 (Valle de uco).
. Yield per hectare: 8.000 bottles/ha.

The Pulenta family has been a prominent and respected force in Argentine viticulture for three generations. Sons of well-known winegrower Antonio Pulenta, and descendants of Italian immigrants, Eduardo and Hugo Pulenta founded Pulenta Estate in 2002. The vineyards are estate-owned and farmed for high quality and limited yields.
